Os dois nutrientes, no entanto, s\u00e3o fundamentais para a sa\u00fade e podem necess\u00e1rios em pacientes que recebem terapia parenteral.<\/p>\n<p>Neste artigo, vamos falar sobre o papel de cada um desses oligoelementos e como eles s\u00e3o usados na terapia parenteral.<\/p>\n<h2>Fl\u00faor<\/h2>\n<p>O fl\u00faor \u00e9 um mineral ben\u00e9fico para o esmalte dos dentes e para a dentina, contribuindo para a resist\u00eancia \u00e0s c\u00e1ries. Por meio do fl\u00faor, os dentes se tornam menos suscept\u00edveis aos \u00e1cidos que alteraram o metabolismo de c\u00e1lcio, magn\u00e9sio e f\u00f3sforo. Al\u00e9m disso, o fl\u00faor est\u00e1 relacionado \u00e0 preven\u00e7\u00e3o de anemia e de infertilidade causada por defici\u00eancia de ferro, aumento da resist\u00eancia \u00f3ssea e participa\u00e7\u00e3o no crescimento.<\/p>\n<p>O <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalacademies.org\/fnb\/about#%3A~%3Atext%3DEstablished%20in%201940%2C%20the%20Food%2Con%20the%20relationships%20among%20food\">Food and Nutrition Board <\/a>define os n\u00edveis de ingest\u00e3o adequada (IA) para fl\u00faor com base nas quantidades que protegem contra a c\u00e1rie dent\u00e1ria e geralmente n\u00e3o resultam em manchas nos dentes. O excesso de fl\u00faor pode estar relacionado a fluorose dent\u00e1ria (esmalte poroso), aumento de fraturas \u00f3sseas, rigidez e dor nas articula\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leia tamb\u00e9m: <\/strong>5 vantagens da nutri\u00e7\u00e3o parenteral pronta para uso<\/p>\n<h2>Iodo<\/h2>\n<p>O iodo \u00e9 um nutriente que est\u00e1 diretamente ligado \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o adequada do horm\u00f4nio tiroidiano. Sua defici\u00eancia provoca efeitos negativos no crescimento e no desenvolvimento. Por muito tempo n\u00e3o se recomendou a inser\u00e7\u00e3o de iodo na nutri\u00e7\u00e3o parenteral, especialmente para crian\u00e7as, porque acreditava-se haver uma absor\u00e7\u00e3o cut\u00e2nea de iodo por meio de antiss\u00e9pticos iodados.<\/p>\n<p>Atualmente, no entanto, com a prefer\u00eancia pelo uso de antiss\u00e9pticos \u00e0 base de clorexidina, tende a ser maior a possibilidade de defici\u00eancia de iodo. O mineral n\u00e3o \u00e9 rotineiramente adicionado em suplementos no Estados Unidos. J\u00e1 na Europa, a dose padr\u00e3o di\u00e1ria \u00e9 de 1 \u03bcmol\/d.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com o artigo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gastrojournal.org\/article\/S0016-5085(09)01449-8\/fulltext#secd12030189e1074\">Iodine: it&#8217;s important in patients that require parenteral<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gastrojournal.org\/article\/S0016-5085(09)01449-8\/fulltext#secd12030189e1074\">nutrition<\/a>, publicado na revista Gastroenterology, \u00e9 altamente recomendado administrar ao menos uma dose di\u00e1ria de 1 mg de iodo \/ kg de peso corporal para crian\u00e7as recebendo nutri\u00e7\u00e3o parenteral. Para adultos, a recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 de 70 a 150 mg por dia.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 prudente testar periodicamente a fun\u00e7\u00e3o da tireoide em pacientes que recebem nutri\u00e7\u00e3o parenteral em longo prazo e, especialmente, gestantes e beb\u00eas pr\u00e9-termo, uma vez que o iodo tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio para o desenvolvimento do sistema nervoso central. <a class=\"bibliography-sup\" title=\"SRIRAM, ; LONCHYNA, V.A.
