Nut Clin Prac 2018;33(3):348-358\" href=\"#\" data-bibliography-link=\"\">(2)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, se ha generado inter\u00e9s de identificar los mecanismos celulares reguladores que ejercen los AGW-3 EPA\/DHA en el estado proinflamatorio que caracteriza al paciente en condici\u00f3n cr\u00edtica, destacando en ellos la modificaci\u00f3n de la estructura de las membranas celulares, la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de la respuesta inmunitaria e inflamatoria y los mecanismos de transcripci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica que involucran la s\u00edntesis del factor de necrosis tumoral (FNT-\u03b1) mediante la atenuaci\u00f3n del factor nuclear kappa-beta (FN-kB), la s\u00edntesis de eicosanoides e interleuquinas proinflamatorias y de prote\u00ednas de fase reactante como la prote\u00edna C-reactiva (PCR) <a class=\"bibliography-sup\" title=\"3. La inflamaci\u00f3n promueve la degradaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas musculares, en parte mediante la regulaci\u00f3n positiva del sistema ubiquitina-proteasoma; la inflamaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n disminuye la s\u00edntesis de prote\u00ednas mediante la inhibici\u00f3n de mTOR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;line-height: 150%\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%\">El EPA y el DHA tienen m\u00faltiples acciones antiinflamatorias y tambi\u00e9n promueven la resoluci\u00f3n de la inflamaci\u00f3n. Se incorporan a los fosfol\u00edpidos de la membrana celular muscular, desde donde pueden liberarse y act\u00faan como sustratos para mediadores pro resoluci\u00f3n especializados (SPMs = resolvinas, protectinas y maresinas ). Tambi\u00e9n existe evidencia de que el EPA y el DHA activan la v\u00eda mTOR.<\/p>\n<p>En una enfermedad cr\u00edtica, la inflamaci\u00f3n prolongada desencadena efectos en diferentes \u00f3rganos que pueden resultar en da\u00f1o org\u00e1nico. Sin embargo, la resoluci\u00f3n oportuna de la inflamaci\u00f3n se asocia con resultados cl\u00ednicos m\u00e1s favorables (Fig 3) <a class=\"bibliography-sup\" title=\"5.
